maybe tomorrow i will post some pictures of my trip which only lasted aday because i woke up and rode like 12 miles to my uncles house and realized i couldhave  saved all the money just one more hour of riding.  knees spent, thighs hurt, calves hurt, triceps hurt wrists hurt cause i rode riser bars with oury's cause i wanted people to know im an urban rider not a roadie also my asshole and the spot under my balls is so raw i always today feel like i have to shit but it's just the ghost pain from yesterday.

should leave on tuesday morning for nyc but this time I think I'll just charge all the way down untill i can hit the northern most subway or train or whatever.  I can see how bike tripping can get sort of addicting, if I paired camping with this, I would be free to go anywhere there'd be no reason  not to bike all across the country.

my diet was 2 half gallons of gatorade,
3 gallons water + electrolyte packets in some of them
4 cliff bars
2 powerbars
1 snickers marathon bar
4 pieces of toast with butter
a subway footlong, chips and drink,
garden salad with large spaghetti and garlic bread
2 redbulls
4 advil

After a breezy rehearsed ride into Harmony, I kept riding into connecticut but only briefly then had lunch near woodstock massachusettes i think at this point i had rode 60 miles.  after realizing i was very exhausted I called my uncle about a better route, proceeded through springfield heading towards rte 23.  After springfeidl however I knew there werent any towns for a while so i really had topush.  when i got to 23 it was essentially the berkshires mtn range.  I got to the first town in the hills after walking my bike it was 6 pm and there was no food or lodgings.  second town, otis had two gas stations and an 'inn' which was not an inn but where i got dinner at 8:30 pm.  I popped some advil and rebull and rode in the dark with one light low on batteries the 16 miles so tired my knees werekilling me into great barrington where i negotiated a room for 50 bucks then i was too awake from caffeine but my body hurt.

122 Miles in about 12 hours track bike ~60 pound load nike sneakers white t shirt this is how you travel.

everybody leaves, you spend 12 hours running up and down elevators with all your shit, you're yelling at each other by 3pm, the school decides they are going to force you out of your apt by 6pm or 350 dollar fine but it happens to be on the same day as waterfire and brown's graduation, so every fucking street to get back to your apt is blocked so you try to take a shortcut but have to drive around in circles until you are further behind where you started, you lose your key, nearly run out of gas, and finally you get everything in the house but there's no toilet paper, you spend the next day just unpacking the stuff just a day ago was completely manageable, then you go get drunk with the three other people left in town but realize what is really more fun than sitting around and joking about falling off of balconies is going skateboarding, then waking up sore and hungover to go to work then you do it all over again and your getting tired and can't really tell which day it is because your house doesn't stay the same, you seem to stay the same while everything around you changes and it's really hard and all you wanna do is have a home to come back to, ok?

“It’s just insane; the city blows,” Mr. Peres said. “All the people from SF MoMA and stuff came and they were like, ‘It’s really great.’ And I was like, is that how it works here? ’Cause when I was a collector, if I saw something I liked, I bought it. So if it was ‘great,’ I expected you to buy it—not like ‘Mwah! Mwah! Mwah!’ I’m like, ‘Don’t kiss me, get the fuck out of my fuckin’ face if you’re not going to buy the damn things.’”

-javier peres on sf

“Just taking up my fucking time and not buying a fucking thing. And I’m super-fucking claustrophobic. I hate having people around me—if I’m not fucking you, I don’t want you around me.”

"The piece, which was a super-realist re-creation of fellow artist Dash Snow’s apartment wall, wound up costing Mr. Peres $18,000. A year later, the work, “Secrets and Cymbals, Smoke and Scissors,” was purchased by Charles Saatchi for $500,000."

“My friends and I recently decided we’re going to drink as much as we can and spend as much money as we can, and hopefully it will catch on,”
